To follow a registered transaction on UETR.io, start with the original UETR, the message date and an email address where you can receive updates.

1. Find the original reference

Copy the complete 36-character UETR from your transaction message or ask the sender for it. Look for MT103 field 121 or the UETR element in pacs.008. Check that the reference has five groups separated by hyphens. Keep the message date alongside it.

2. Enter your lookup details

Open the homepage tracker and enter the UETR, your email and the message date in your timezone. The recorded amount and currency come from the original transaction, so you do not need to enter them again.

3. Read the recorded timeline

A successful match opens a transaction page with its recorded amount, bank information and events. The latest event appears first. You can refresh or save the signed transaction link to return to the record.

4. Confirm your email

Follow the confirmation link sent to your inbox to activate alerts for new recorded events. Check your spam folder if the message does not arrive. You can stop alerts using the unsubscribe link in an update email.

What if there is no match?

Check the reference and message date. A transaction must be registered with UETR.io to appear here. If the details are correct, ask the transaction provider to confirm registration.

Viewing private details

Public lookup excludes personal account details. Full details require an eligible signed-in account with a verified email matching a participant email saved with the transaction.

Know what the status confirms

A recorded system event does not independently confirm that a bank has sent, settled or credited funds. Ask the responsible bank for confirmation of the financial outcome.
